HES Adds NuVision LCDs

By Alan Wolf -- TWICE, 2/11/2010

Anaheim, Calif. - Home Entertainment Source (HES) has added super-premium LCD manufacturer NuVision to its Expert Warehouse distribution program.

Under terms of the agreement, the buying group's approximately 500 specialty A/V dealers will have access to NuVision's full line of limited-distribution 1080p LCDs, including the FX5LS series of ultra-slim LED-backlit panels.

The company's "deep black" TV line features advanced video processing and screen sizes ranging from 19 inches to 65 inches. The FX5LS series is available in 40-, 46- and 55-inch sizes.

"We anticipate that NuVision will address a real need for our dealers and conversely, we anticipate that HES will prove to be an ideal channel strategy for a brand such as NuVision," said Jim Ristow, executive VP of the $1.8 billion buying group. "Our member dealers will position NuVision properly, representing the product benefits effectively to consumers while providing the support and installation services commensurate with a true luxury brand."

NuVision CEO David Hester added, "We are excited to have reached a deal with HES because of the emphasis within the organization on top-quality products and services. We are confident that this group of top-tier dealers will excel with an exclusive luxury brand such as NuVision."

HES members can access the line through the group's Expert Warehouse program, which it shares with parent organization Brand Source. The two-step, in-house distribution program provides for just-in-time, vendor-direct deliveries, which allows reduced freight minimums, mixed-brand orders and faster customer service response times for dealers.
