Brugge Joins Best Buy As Gov't Relations Head

Minneapolis - Best Buy has hired Parker Brugge as government relations director, effective Feb. 15.

Brugge joins Best Buy from the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) where he most recently served as environmental affairs and industry sustainability VP. 

In this newly created role that will be based in Washington, Brugge will be responsible for representing Best Buy with Congress, the Obama administration and federal agencies on legislative and regulatory issues. 

Prior to joining the CEA, Brugge practiced law at Patton Boggs and later O'Connor & Hannan, two Washington-based law firms, where he assisted corporate, governmental and non-profit organizations in working with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, state regulatory agencies and the Congress on environmental regulatory, legislative, and litigations issues and strategies.
