LAS VEGAS —
Shure previewed its latest addition to its line of Sound Isolating earphones at International CES, held here earlier this month.
The dual-driver SE425 and triple-driver SE535 Sound Isolating earphones each feature a detachable cable and a formable wire at the earpiece.
“More and more, the lines between amateur and professional musicians are becoming increasingly blurred,” said Scott Sullivan, Shure's global product management senior director. “The SE425 and SE535 walk the line between being rugged and reliable enough for professional use, and portable and stylish enough to appeal to savvy consumers.”
Further details were not provided, but the earphones are scheduled to be available in mid-2010. Pricing wasn't given.
Shure also introduced a new headset at CES. The SE115m Sound Isolating headset is an updated version of the company's SE115+ headset. The new SE115m headset features a sound-isolating design, precise audio reproduction, and integrated functionality with an inline microphone and one-button control, the company said.
The one-button remote control of the SE115m is located on the right earpiece cable, allowing users to answer or end calls without having to remove their earphones. The headset also includes Dynamic MicroDriver II, one-button control and inline microphone, interchangeable earphone sleeves, and a two-year limited warranty.
It's currently available for a $150 suggested retail.
