Maingear Intros F1X PCs

Union, N.J. - High-end PC maker Maingear has partnered with TigerDirect to market its latest gaming computer series.

MaingearMaingear's F1XThe three-SKU F1X series contains the F1X 750, 500 and 200. These configure-to-order models are now available through Tiger's TigerDirect.com, CompUSA.com and CircuitCity.com online stores, Maingear said.

The flagship F1X 750's basic configuration consists of an Intel Core i7 975 processor overclocked to 3.6Ghz with a dual ATI Radeon HD 5870 graphics processor with 1GB of GDDR5 memory. Other features include 12GB of triple-channel DDR3 1.33Ghz memory, an 80GB Intel solid-state drive and a 1.5TB Western Digital hard drive. A 6x Blu-ray burner is standard, and the unit is kept cool via Maingear's X20 closed-loop liquid-cooling system. The system runs on Microsoft's 64-bit Windows 7 Professional.

Pricing starts at $5,149.

The F1X500 differs from the top-end model by using an Intel Core i7 950 processor overclocked to 3.3GHz, Dual ATI 5770 graphics, a 1TB Western Digital hard drive and a DVD dual-layer burner. The F1X 500 pricing starts at $3,099.

The entry-level F1X 250 is powered by an Intel Core i5 processor overclocked to 2.93GHz and differs from the other models by incorporating Dual ATI Radeon HD5750 graphics and 8GB of dual-channel DDR3 memory. Pricing starts at $2,249.

All the models come with Maingear's one-year warranty.
