HES Elects New Board

Anaheim, Calif. - Home Entertainment Source (HES), the A/V specialty division of Brand Source, has elected Vance Pflanz, founder and principal of Pflanz Electronics, as its new president, serving his first term in that role.

Vance Pflanz of Pflanz Electronics was elected president of HES.

"I am very excited about the future of HES and as the new president I look forward to working with our very talented board and our growing membership," said Pflanz who also serves as chairman of the Professional Audio Video Retailers Assn. (PARA).

Additionally, Bob Dodge of Talk of the Town and Alan Guyes of Audiotronics have been elected to serve their first terms as HES directors, and Bill Janka of Mission Audio Video was re-elected to the board. Marty Hayse of Dennis Sage Home Entertainment, David Pidgeon of Starpower Home Entertainment Systems, and Andy Kersey of Hamlin & Kersey will continue their terms as directors.

HES executive VP Jim Ristow said he is eager to begin working with the new board on developing innovative business models that will help position the $1.8-billion group's 500 members for the next decade.
