Audiovox Showing Several A/V SKUs

By Lisa Johnston -- TWICE, 1/7/2010

Audiovox will be showcasing a variety of new CE accessories at International CES, opening here today.

Products to be shown include its Acoustic Research-branded ARW300 over-ear headphones, with 2.1 stereo, padded multi-chamber ear cups and personal subwoofers. The headphones have 23mm neodymium drivers for left/right channels, and 40mm neodymium drivers for subwoofers. They are currently available for a $79.99 suggested retail.

The company will also highlight its RCA-branded RCRV06G six-device, voice-control remote. The remote features interactive, hands-free operation that works with multiple users. The talking HELP system is engineered to walk users through device setup, learning, voice commands, favorite-channel

setup and user preferences. Suggested retail is $39.99, and it will be available in the spring.

The Infinity OARI06G remote, also a six-device universal remote, features SimpleSet technology, on-remote device setup and advanced macro keys. It will be available in the spring for $29.99.

Two other remotes, the ARRX06G and ARRX12G — both under the Acoustic Research brand — can control up to six or 12 IR devices, respectively. Suggested retail for the ARRX06G is $79.99, and the ARRX12G will retail for $9.99. Both will be available in the spring.

The RCA-branded portable charging station (model PCHSTAT, $24.99) provides extra outlets for other electronics and is better-looking than traditional wall taps, Audiovox said. Features include three outlets, two USB ports, 450-joule surge protection, and a removable cradle to create a different-size holding area. It will be available in the spring.

A second station, model PCHSTA1, will also be introduced in the spring at the same price. It will have four outlets instead of three.
