Skullcandy Teams With NBA For Headphones

By Lisa Johnston -- TWICE, 11/23/2009

Skullcandy said it would be teaming up with the National Basketball Association for a line of player-branded headphones.

Six NBA players — Kobe Bryant, Dwyane Wade, Derrick Rose, Kevin Garnett, Dwight Howard and LeBron James — will be highlighted on the headphones, which all feature official team and NBA logos, integrated jersey mesh, and embroidered player names and numbers.

Skullcandy said it initially launched the Player series with Deron Williams and Andre Iguodala signature headphones, and that both were met with such success that it partnered with the NBA to now offer officially licensed products.

All of the headphones feature the same specs, with 50mm drivers, a frequency range of 18,000Hz to 20,000Hz, and impedance listed at 32 ohms. They come with nylon braided cords and an in-line microphone for hands-free talking.

Suggested retail is $49.95. They will be available in December.
