Audio-Technica Debuts Noise-Canceling Headphones

-- TWICE, 11/23/2009

Audio-Technica introduced its ATH-ANC7b noise-canceling headphones this month.

The over-the-ear headphones feature Quiet Point active noise-canceling technology, which detects environmental noise via miniature microphones in each earpiece, and applies a corresponding sound-cancelling signal to block 90 percent of outside noise, according to the company.

The ATH-ANC7b also reportedly works when the noise-canceling function is turned off, or without batteries. Other features include padded ear cups, adjustable headband, and 5.2-foot and 3.3-foot detachable cables. They fold for storage and come with a 1/4-inch adapter, an airline adapter and a hard carrying case.

Suggested retail is $219. They are currently available.
