Sony Signs Apple Retail Exec To Run Its Stores

San Diego - Sony Electronics has hired Linda Turner as senior VP of Sony's retail stores.
Turner will be responsible for the strategic and operational direction for Sony Style stores, including all aspects of the customer experience.
She will report directly to Sony Electronics president and COO Stan Glasgow.
Most recently she was the senior regional director of stores for Apple for seven years. And she played a critical role in the launch of the company's retail organization, from Apple's first store to more than 70 locations nationwide.
Prior to Apple, Turner worked for Williams Sonoma, Barnes and Noble, Ann Taylor and Talbot's.
Turner assumes retail store responsibilities from Dan Stevenson, senior VP of Sony's direct business. Stevenson oversaw the brick-and-mortar operation on an interim basis following the early retirement of consumer retail sales senior VP Dennis Syracuse in June. Stevenson continues to run sonystyle.com and is responsible for expanding the company's e-commerce platform globally.
