Linden, Mich. -Directus Navigation introduced a car rear view mirror with built-in touch-screen GPS navigation.

Directus offers a rear view mirror with touch screen GPS.
The $799 rear view mirror also includes wireless Bluetooth and
backup camera capability.
By locating the GPS screen in a rear view mirror, the need for suction cups and dangling wires are eliminated, said Frank Rogers, chief marketing officer for Directus Navigation, a division of TATMAR, a trading company.
The mirror, model TD40TOUCH, includes a four-inch touch screen LCD. All GPS electronics are built into the mirror and GPS features include voice cues for upcoming turns and 3D views of terrain plus landmark graphics. The mirror has over 7 million points of interest, and uses Tele Atlas maps and Nav N Go software. With Bluetooth, incoming caller ID information appears on the screen. The unit can also display photos and playback MP3s.
The mirror uses a Samsung 400MHZ processor, 64MB internal memory and 2GB SD card for storing maps, as well as pictures. It also has two video inputs and is available to independent 12 volt specialists.
