HOFFMAN ESTATES, ILL. — Sears is jump-starting the post-Thanksgiving promotional period with a weekly series of “Black Friday Now” sales that began on Halloween.
Doorbuster deals are being offered every Saturday from 7 a.m. to noon between Oct. 31 and Christmas. Some sale items can also be pre-ordered on Sears.com.
CE specials included a 42-inch Zenith-brand plasma TV that was reduced from $650 to $500 this past Saturday.
“Sears continues to look for ways to provide values to customers by offering a wide variety of products throughout the holidays,” said chief marketing officer Don Hamblen.
Sears, and sister chain Kmart, are also continuing their popular layaway programs, which allow customers to pay for their purchases in installments. Layaway options were also added to their respective e-commerce sites.
