JVC Adds Sub-$200 Entry Blu-ray Player

By Greg Tarr -- TWICE, 11/9/2009

JVC recently began shipping its new entry Blu-ray player, model JVC XV-BP11, expanding its line and giving customers an option carrying a less than $200 suggested retail.

Like JVC’s previous XV-BP1, the new player supports Bonus View playback and AVCHD video format used by many HD camcorders. It will also support advanced audio codecs.

The player does not include support for BD-Live.

It includes a new slim-line design and a front-panel USB port.
