New York -Sirius XM said its XM SkyDock is now available at the Apple Store, Best Buy, Radio Shack, Crutchfield and independent retailers.

SkydockThe $119 XM SkyDock was first unveiled by Sirius XM in August and converts an iPhone to a true satellite-radio receiver. The dock includes an XM chip so users may receive Howard Stern if they subscribe to "Best of Sirius." Without the dock, users may stream Sirius to an iPhone, but Howard Stern would not be available.

The XM SkyDock also connects an iPhone or iPod Touch to the car's sound system and plays back stored music on the iPhone or iPod Touch through the car's speakers. It also allows iTunes tagging.

The SkyDock simplifies installation in the car because it converts the iPhone into an FM transmitter so music is played through a car radio.  It also permits an aux in connection to a radio with an aux in jack.

The XM SkyDock is compatible with iPod Touch (first and second generation), iPhone, iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS, running iPhone OS 3.0 or later.

An XM subscription is required and users must download the XM SkyDock App from Apple's App Store.
