TWICE/IFR Price Watch

New York - TWICE and IFR Monitoring are tracking pricing trends on 10 top consumer electronics categories. This weeks report lists prices for the week of Feb. 7.

Each Monday IFR will highlight the lowest advertised prices of the past two weeks in 10 key product categories, based on Sunday circulars from across the country.

• Yes, e-commerce is certainly relevant. But brick-and-mortar remains the dominant distribution channel by far, and is therefore more representative of marketplace pricing. (Also, with regard to multichannel retailers, pricing is often comparable between a chain's physical and online stores.)

• Why does the BF price watch only consider Sunday circulars? Are web prices not relevant?
