Audiovox Plans e-Reader
HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. — Audiovox will enter the e-reader market and unveil at least one FLO TV portable at International CES. Details on the products were not available. The FLO TV portable would join a model due later this year from Qualcomm's FLO TV subsidiary.
WikiReader Debuts
TAIPEI, TAIWAN — A $99 “WikiReader” palm-sized device stores 3 million Wikipedia articles so users can access Wikipedia information without using cellular or Wi-Fi. The device, offered by Openmoko, is available at Amazon.com and http://thewikireader.com. It's expected to be carried by other retailers in 2010, a spokeswoman said.
