Long Beach, Calif. - Pioneer Electronics added a section to its Web site that lets retailers post photos of car electronics installations.
Called FitFotos, the new section gives retailers a means of promoting their installation capabilities to consumers, said Pioneer.
Many retailers have already posted installation photos on Pioneer's private retailer Web site, called MEL, said Ted Cardenas, marketing director for Pioneer's mobile business group. "FitFotos now allows us to share this content with consumers ... to help them better visualize real-world installations of Pioneer products and get them in contact with one or more certified installation specialists in their area."
Acording to the Consumer Electronics Association, 69 percent of CE buyers first look online before making an in-store purchase, Pioneer said.
