Honig Joins AVAD To Run Marketing/Training

Van Nuys, Calif. - AVAD, the custom electronics distributor, has hired Steve Honig as its senior marketing and training manager.

Honig brings 35 years of experience in sales, training and management - 15 of which were are the custom electronics industry, AVAD said.

In addition to assisting in marketing efforts, Honig will also manage AVAD University, the distributor's continuing education program that makes manufacturers directly available to dealers through product training seminars hosted on-site at each of its 28 North American locations. Each year, AVAD University offers more than 450 online and classroom continuing education classes, the company said.

"Steve Honig brings a wealth of experience to AVAD and will be invaluable in continuing the highest level of support to our dealers and partners," said Jim Annes, VP/general manager of AVAD. "His experience in sales, training and marketing will be a great value to the AVAD management team as we focus on serving the needs of custom installers."

Most recently, Honig was marketing director at Volutone Distributing where his responsibilities included creating and implementing its customer care department, as well as managing vendor training and the company's marketing effort
