Kingston Increases Read/Write Speeds On USB Flash Drives

-- TWICE, 9/28/2009

Kingston announced it is increasing the read and write speeds on its DataTraveler 410 USB flash drive to 20MBps.

The drives will ship in 4GB, 8GB, 16GB and 32GB capacities.

The drives — which have a cap-less, swivel design — all come with SecureTraveler software that allows users to create and access a password-protected area of the drive called the “Privacy Zone.”

“Power users, enterprise customers and everyday consumers have wanted the ability to store and move large files around faster as USB flash drives have become more prevalent in everyday use,” said Andrew Ewing, USB business manager, Kingston.

Pricing was not given.
