Bosch Pitches $4K Kitchen In Rebate Promo

By Alan Wolf -- TWICE, 9/10/2009

With the effects of the recession and depressed housing market now impacting even super-premium appliances, luxury majap maker Bosch is emphasizing affordability and energy savings in its consumer communications.

To underscore the point, the company is getting out the message that a full Bosch stainless-steel kitchen can be had for less than $4,000 with its competitively priced 300-series appliances, which can also help consumers save on their energy and water bills while adding value to their homes.

The 300 series, available at Sears, Lowe's and independent dealers nationwide, includes the Linea side-by-side counter-depth refrigerator ($2,000 suggested retail), the Ascenta dishwasher (suggested retail $600) and Bosch's $1,000 freestanding range with contemporary European styling.

“With more homeowners remodeling existing homes rather than moving to new ones, this is an excellent opportunity to increase a home's value by upgrading to appliances that offer energy efficiency, German engineering and a great style — all at a very reasonable price,” said Michael Traub, president/CEO of Bosch home appliances.

Bosch is offering additional incentives through October with up to $350 in rebates at select dealers, paid via a Bosch Visa prepaid card. The promotions include a $150 rebate with the purchase of any freestanding or slide-in range, plus any dishwasher or over-the-range microwave.

In other Bosch news, the company has launched its next-generation Vision laundry line, which is being produced at its manufacturing facility in New Bern, N.C.

Vision expands upon Bosch's debut Nexxt laundry platform by offering what is describes as “the most energy- and water-efficient full-size front-load washers in the U.S.”

The line, offered in white and silver, is shipping now in side-by-side or stacked installation models within the 300, 500 and 800 series.
