Samsung Bows 65” 1080p LCD

Samsung will unveil at CEDIA Expo (booth 925) a 65-inch LCD TV positioned in the 650 series.

Model LN65B650 (shipping in September at an estimated $6,000) will feature FullHD 1080p resolution, the company's Auto Motion Plus 120Hz frame-rate technology, a 4ms panel response time and Samsung's Wide Color Enhancer 3 system.

The panel is listed with a 100,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio.

The DLNA-certified set can be connected to the Internet through a built-in Ethernet port (an optional USB dongle for wireless access is available) to make use of the company's Medi@2.0 IPTV package powered by the Yahoo! Widgets engine.

The set will also incorporate 1GB of memory for a Content Library and support for USB 2.0 Movie with MPEG4, DivX, MP3, and JPEG decoders.

Extensive inputs include four HDMI 1.3 connections, two rear component inputs, two composite inputs and two USB 2.0 inputs. An optical audio output, PC input and a RS232C port are also included.
