Redwood Shores, Calif. - Kensington introduced several computer and mobile device accessories on Tuesday, including an iPhone charging dock.
The Kensington charging dock with mini battery pack (K33457US, $69.99 suggested retail) is engineered to recharge an iPhone or iPod. The included mini battery pack reportedly extends play time up to 30 hours of music, six hours of video and three hours of talk. Features include a detachable USB charging and syncing cable, USB wall adapter and iPhone 3G dock insert.
The Nightstand charging dock (K33458US, $39.99) enables users to download an application that transforms an iPhone or iPod Touch into a bedside clock and weather center. Features include a landscape display that doesn't go into sleep mode, optional screen dimming and charging cable. The Kensington Rise&Shine Clock and Weather application can be downloaded at no extra cost, according to the company.
Several notebook stands were also announced, including the TwoFold stand (offered in gray and blue, or gray and green, for $19.99) and the TwoFold stand and sleeve (also in the same colors for $39.99). The notebook stands are meant to reduce eye and neck strain by raising the laptop screen. It folds flat for easy storage and fits notebooks from 14.1 inches to 15.4 inches.
The TwoFold stand and sleeve has the same features as the regular stand, but it converts into a protective sleeve when not in use.
