Maingear High-End Notebook Unveiled

High-end computer maker Maingear has introduced the eX-L 18 laptop line.

The configure-to-order notebook has a base price of $2,999. The company is touting the laptop as having a world-class graphics solution and is targeting it toward the PC gaming and multimedia enthusiast market.

The model can be equipped with single or dual Nvidia GeForce GTX 280M graphics processing units that feature built-in support for Nvidia's PhysX technology to deliver realistic gaming effects.

Other options available are Intel Core 2 Extreme quad processors with an Intel MCP79 chipset, up to 8GB of DDR3 1333Mhz memory, three 3.5-inch SATA or solid-state drives slots, DVD or Blu-ray optical drives, and a 18.4-inch display.
