Bluelounge Tidies Up Workspaces With New Introductions

By TWICE Staff -- TWICE, 7/20/2009

Bluelounge has debuted two desk-organizing products: the StudioDesk and the CableDrop.

The StudioDesk ($599) is engineered for laptop users, featuring a sliding top surface that uncovers a storage compartment. The compartment is designed to conceals all peripheral hardware and accompanying cables.

An elongated slot across the width of the desktop lets the user easily inter-connect all the hidden power strips, AC adapters, hubs, external hard drives, routers, etc, thereby always keeping the desktop completely clutter-free, said the company, and an opening located below the StudioDesk's rear corners means that only a single cable is needed to connect everything to a power socket.

White laminate is used for the desktop surfaces and storage spaces, and it comes with a removable faux-leather mat to cover and protect the sliding portion of the desktop. The StudioDesk measures 47 inches by 27.5 inches by 29.5 inches and is currently available.

The CableDrop is an adjustable cable clip that “helps reconfigure one's desktop in a multitude of creative ways,” said BlueLounge. Designed by industrial designer Greg Fulco, the CableDrop can be fixed behind or onto any desktop or adjacent walls and furniture. A peel-off adhesive on the back of each CableDrop means it can be applied to any desired vertical or horizontal surface.

It is offered in two differently colored packs of six (off-white, rust, gray, or orange, pink, lime green) for a at $9.95 suggested retail.

Both products are currently available.
