XM To Reach 1M Toyotas

By Amy Gilroy -- TWICE, 6/16/2009

New York — Toyota will offer XM satellite radio on more than 1 million of its vehicles by the end of 2009, it announced.

In addition, the Toyota Camry will have XM as a standard feature on the 2010 model with a premium sound system. Camrys with standard audio systems will continue to offer XM as a dealer option.

Other Toyota vehicles offering XM this year will provide the service as a factory-installed option, with the total reaching approximately 1 million vehicles.

The Camry is not the first Toyota to receive XM as standard equipment as the Corolla and Matrix won that honor in early 2008.

XM also said its real-time traffic service, XM NavTraffic, will be standard equipment on all Camry models with navigation. XM and XM NavTraffic are already available on the Corolla, Matrix and Venza and on several Lexus models
