Pioneer Ships Blu-ray Disc Player Trio

Long Beach, Calif. — Pioneer said Thursday that it is now shipping the Pioneer-branded BDP-320 and BDP-120, and Elite-branded BDP-23FD Blu-ray Disc players, all of which offer BD-Live functionality.
The Pioneer BDP-320 ($399 suggested retail) and Elite BDP-23FD ($599) are BD-Live ready out of the box, while the BDP-120 ($299) will ship with a 1GB thumb drive to connect to the player’s USB drive to provide the memory necessary for BD-Live playback.
All three players feature an integrated USB port to make possible further storage capacity with a thumb drive or hard disk for BD-Live entertainment and other applications.
The BDP-320 and BDP-23FD models also offer 48-bit Deep Color support, three video noise-reduction circuits, a picture-control suite with 12 image adjustment capabilities and internal decoding of all advanced audio formats.

Pioneer is positioning the Elite BDP-23FD at A/V specialty dealers and custom installers, offering advanced integration functionality for seamless control and connectivity in advanced home theaters and networks.
The unit includes a Kuro Link Picture Mode and Precision Quartz Lock System Multi (PQLS), to produce jitter-free playback of soundtracks when the player is used in concert with Pioneer’s newest line of A/V receivers.
It uses professional-grade internal components and a durable chassis construction for high reliability and quality, the company said.
