Volutone, RTI Report Record Trainee Turnout

VAN NUYS, CALIF. — West Coast distributor Volutone and new client Remote Technologies (RTI), the Shakopee, Minn.-based control products manufacturer, set attendance records last month at their Advanced Control University Certified Trainings series.
Volutone, which was awarded distribution of RTI's remote-control line just one month prior to the trainings, scrambled to arrange meeting space at California hotels and Volutone locations. “We actually had hundreds of our dealers respond to the training and quickly rearranged the schedules and locations to accommodate RTI trainer Clint Forberg,” said Volutone VP Trevor Hansen. “We have a tremendous relationship with our dealers, and they support the lines we offer them.”
Nearly 200 Volutone dealers attended the companies' Van Nuys class alone, where RTI's advanced programmers accreditation was given in level-two integration designer control-system programming. “There were more integrators in attendance at this training than at our CEDIA training,” remarked RTI's western regional sales manager Andrew Werdean.
Volutone operates seven locations in California and southern Nevada. In addition to its distributing duties and quality accredited courses, the company offers dealers system design assistance and business classes to help sharpen selling skills.
