Jobo Bows Plano 8 Digital Photo Frame

Gummersbach, Germany — Jobo AG introduced Wednesday an ultra-thin digital picture frame series called Plano.

The 8-inch version, called the Jobo Plano 8, is the first in a series of three frames. It will be available in late June

The Jobo Plano 8 ($129 suggested retail) measures less than an inch thick and features 800 by 600 resolution and will ship in June.

with an AC adapter, remote control and manual for a $129 suggested retail. The 7-inch Jobo Plano 7 and 10.4-inch Plano 10 models will be available for $99 and $179, respectively.

The Plano 8 measures less than an inch thick and features remote-control operation.

It incorporates an automatic slideshow presentation, 800 by 600 resolution, a 4:3 aspect ratio and a black border frame.

This model includes a USB 2.0 input and supports the SD, SDHC, MMC, MS and xD memory card formats.

The frame supports picture browsing, thumbnail mode and slideshow with various transition effects. It also includes rotate and zoom, and four-in-one window functions. It will display a calendar and clock and includes an AC power adapter and a power-saving function.

Johannes Bockemuehl-Simon, Jobo’s CEO, said “these extremely thin and stylish new Jobo Photo Displays were created specifically for budget-minded consumers looking for a quality digital picture frame at a great price.”
