Gateway founder and chairman Ted Waitt retired from the company's board last week in order to focus on other business and philanthropic endeavors. The move ended Waitt's 20-year run with the company. Board director Richard Snyder will take over as chairman. He is CEO of the tech firm Ardesta LLC. Philip Daniels, ex-mobile entertainment products zone director, joins JVC as national sales manager for consumer video... Gina Lauria has been promoted from Crestron's marketing communications manager to marketing director ... Bob True has been named Tymphany's worldwide engineering operations and manufacturing VP, overseeing manufacturing and engineering operations for the Scan-Speak, Peerless, Vifa, Logic, and Tymphany product lines … Mark A. Prince, ex-sales and marketing director for Casio's Electronic Musical Instrument Division, has joined Oregon Scientific as national sales manager for youth electronic and educational toy products ... David Oles, founder/chief technical officer of Pixel Magic, has been elected to serve on the Kiosks.org Association advisory board... Cardinal general manager Bill Lyons was given the additional title of VP … Friedrich Air Conditioning Co. has promoted Mike Brief from area manager to Northeastern zone manager … CD/DVD portable storage maker Allsop has named Linda Hawley, sales director; Sabrena Wright, product development director; and Ryan Roy, graphic designer … Keith Haas, former LG Electronics, Mitsubishi, NEC and JVC exec, returns to Onkyo USA as sales director, responsible for independent sales reps and its Professional Division... Adam Leight joins Klipsch Audio Technologies as manufacturing engineering director. Klipsch also promoted Lee Brooks to engineering product designer … Congratulations to long-time TWICE senior editor Joseph Palenchar, who married Sonia Adamo on May 7 in Paramus, N.J. The couple left the next day for a two-week honeymoon in Italy.
