TomTom Offers Gas-Price Service

By TWICE Staff -- TWICE, 10/9/2008

Concord, Mass. — TomTom has begun selling a $20 fuel price card that allows owners of its portable GPS devices to receive updates on local gas prices.

The card, available at leading retailers and www.tomtom.com, bears a code that can be inputted at TomTom’s Web site. The owner then syncs his TomTom GPS device to the computer and the device will receive gas-price updates at local stations for a year.

The card is compatible with most TomTom personal navigation devices, said the company.

The fuel card was originally announced in January.
