CE Veteran Jim Newbrough Dies In Crash

Long-time CE industry veteran Jim Newbrough, 65, died from injuries sustained in a car accident Feb. 9, according to a report in the Indianapolis Star newspaper.

Newbrough had been an 18-year veteran of RCA, where he served as consumer electronics marketing VP before joining Philips Consumer Electronics, where he served for 13 years as marketing senior VP. More recently he owned a consulting firm with a world wide client base.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years Brenda Hutchinson Newbrough, their three sons, three brothers, a sister and six grandchildren.
