BG Bows Stereo, Home Theater Planar Ribbon Speakers At CES

LAS VEGAS — BG is introducing planar ribbon speakers for home theater and stereo applications during International CES, at Suite 18 in the Renaissance Hotel.
The three-way Z92 Z-Series loudspeaker is the newest addition to its Z-Series of stereo and home theater systems. The Z92 delivers extended bass with very high SPL capabilities, significantly less distortion and greater accuracy and sonic refinement, the company said..
All Z-Series speakers are adept at delivering home theater sound as well as two-channel music. Using several innovations, including planar ribbon technology, Z-Series speakers reproduce the quiet, silky sounds of a classical guitar, the hushed whispers of the human voice and the high-impact sound of Hollywood movies, making them favorites with today's leading designers, the company said.
The Z92 stands 44.25 inch high, is 7.7 inches wide and 14 inches deep. It features a patented Neo3PDR ribbon tweeter coaxially mounted in front of a new 10 by 5-inch Neo10 midrange planar driver. The Neo10 reproduces wide-band sound with unsurpassed resolution and transparency, perfectly matching the Neo3PDR tweeter.
The Z92 is available in three real-veneer finishes — black ash, cherry and light maple.
BG's Z92 loudspeaker will be available in February from authorized BG dealers at a suggested price of $2,499 per pair.
The Z62 Z-Series loudspeaker is a left/center/right loudspeaker that matches BG's Z92 loudspeaker, also being introduced at CES. Like the Z92, the Z62 is a new entry in the Z-Series of stereo and home theater systems.
Resting 28.6 inches wide, 11.5 inches deep and 7.7 inches high, the Z62 houses a patented Neo3PDR ribbon tweeter coaxially mounted in front of a new 10 by 5-inch Neo10 midrange planar driver. The Neo10 reproduces wideband sound with unsurpassed resolution and transparency, perfectly matching the Neo3PDR tweeter, the firm said.
Also available in black ash, cherry and light maple veneer finishes, the Z62 loudspeaker will be available in February from authorized BG dealers at a suggested price of $999 each.
