Zetex Unveils Digital Amp Chipset At CES
By Staff -- TWICE, 1/8/2007
LAS VEGAS — Zetex Semiconductors is introducing at International CES a digital amplifier chipset based on its Class Z technology in The Venetian Tower, booth 30-218.
The chipset, the company stated, is capable of delivering better performance in a number of audio applications. The technology utilizes a direct digital feedback amplifier architecture to resolve the problems that hamper the use of digital amplifier solutions.
The chipset will help vendors create inexpensive home theater, two-channel hi-fi and active loudspeakers products that were previously only available by using a high-end linear amplifier. The chipset combines the functions of a DAC, preamplifier and power amplifier.
The company will also show for the first time the ZXCDSUBEV series of Class D amplifier reference designs for subwoofer applications.
