Aamp Introduces 'WiFli' iPod Kit

By Amy Gilroy -- TWICE, January 8, 2009

Aamp of America is showing a new version of the common iPod kit. It's WiFli is a wireless steering-wheel iPod kit, the first to wirelessly send iPod song and text information to any RDS radio, said the company.

Most factory radios produced after 2006 and most aftermarket radios are RDS capable and will work with the WiFli.

It uses an FM transmitter to let users browse through iPod songs via steering-wheel control and to play their iPod through the radio.

It controls the iPod like a CD player, skipping tracks forward and back, without having to touch the iPod. It may be installed by the user. The WiFli will ship in late February/March at $99.95.
