Audiopipe Ups U.S. Sales Efforts

By Staff -- TWICE, 10/14/2002

Audiopipe is in the process of stepping up its marketing efforts in the United States and setting up a network of regional distributors.

The company, based here, sells speakers, amplifiers and installation accessories and is introducing a new line of Diamond Cut competition subwoofers. In the future, Audiopipe plans to offer three head units, also designed for competition, according to national sales manager John Messer.

Audiopipe was started by exporter Nippon America several years ago to focus on delivering quality autosound products at affordable prices, said Messer, who claims the company is able to offer lower prices because it exports products to Australia, South Africa, Europe and Mexico. "We have a greater purchasing power and we can negotiate prices on components and turn over the savings to our distributors," he said.

The company says it is now taking a more aggressive marketing role in the U.S. and will display for the first time this year under its own name at International CES.

Among the company's most recent new products are three subwoofers under the Diamond Cut line ranging in price from $135 for a 10-inch unit to $211 for a 15-inch woofer.
