Kef To Demo Its fivetwo Speakers
By Staff -- TWICE, 1/8/2007
LAS VEGAS — KEF will demonstrate Model 7 and Model 11 in its fivetwo loudspeaker at booth Hilton 339 during International CES this week.
The fivetwo series, so named because it delivers 5.1 surround sound from two speaker enclosures and a subwoofer, use the latest generation of Kef's proprietary Uni-Q drivers with enhanced bass response and a new optimized flat-panel design to provide more rear-channel sound. The Uni-Q technology is what enables the speakers to deliver full surround sound despite being contained in only two enclosures.
The Model 7 is a bookshelf speaker system containing seven drivers, while the Model 11 is a floor-standing system with 11 drivers in the two enclosures. Optional matching floor stands and wall brackets are available for use with the Model 7s.
The racetrack shaped enclosures are available in a matte silver or high-gloss black finish in order to match the look of flat-panel TV.
Suggested retail price for the Model 7 and Model 11 are, respectively, $1,200 and $2,000.
