Memorex Debuts Alkaline Battery Family

By Staff -- TWICE, 5/3/2004

Memorex is introducing a complete line of alkaline batteries for digital devices, called Memorex Energy Alkaline. The company said it will meet the need for portable power with "batteries that perform equal to or better than current brands, at a lower cost."

The new opening-price-point line, which includes AAA, AA, C, D and 9V, is designed to power PDAs, portable music players, wireless mice, digital cameras, gaming devices, remote controls and toys.

The Memorex alkaline cells start at a suggested retail of $2.79 for a package of four AAA or AA batteries. The new products had been scheduled for April availability.
