Toshiba Adds 4GB MP3/Video Player

Irvine, Calif. — Toshiba America Information Systems (TAIS) shipped its $119-suggested T400 MP3/video player with 4GB of embedded memory and 2.4-inch QVGA screen.

It decodes WMV video files; JPEG images; and audio in the MP3, protected WMA, WMA lossless and WAV formats. Download site MusicGiants offers WMA lossless downloads. The battery delivers 16 hours of audio playback time or five hours of video playback. It lacks a memory card slot. Retailers that will offer it include Office Depot, CompUSA, Fry’s, Micro Center and online sites including Amazon.com.

It joins the company’s 2GB music/photo-only U202 at a suggested $79.
