Retailers: Hard Work Ahead World-Exchange.com Launches Site Offering Deep CE Discounts

PT. PLEASANT BEACH, N.J. - World-Exchange.com has launched a consumer electronics shopping website that offers deep discounts on a broad selection of branded audio and video components, home theater products and home entertainment electronics from manufacturers that normally adhere to restricted distribution and price-maintenance policies.
The approach is "highly innovative in its unique and successful integration of the otherwise incompatible business models of restricted-distribution/ resale-price maintenance marketing vs. deep-discount e-commerce," said Nathaniel Gurien, founder and CEO of the B-to-C start-up.
In addition to new merchandise, World-Exchange.com's proprietary program sells perfect-condition dealer models and customer returns at cost-plus prices, Gurien said, adding that the company enjoys the cooperation and sanction of many of the industry's most prominent manufacturers.
New products offered on the website carry the full original manufacturer's warranty, with such brands featured as Bose, Boston Acoustics, Denon, JBL, JVC, Lexicon, Marantz, Panasonic, Sony, Technics, Toshiba and Yamaha.
