Several changes were made at the Good Guys. George Hechtman, VP/administration, named VP/sales for Northern California, Washington and Oregon. Babak Ghaznavi, VP/sales for Southern California and Nevada, named operations director. In turn, Robert Stoffregen, finance VP and CFO, will assume Hechtman's prior post with responsibility for real estate, and will be succeeded by financial planning director David Carter, who was named acting CFO ... A.M. (Sonny) Marak, LG Electronics Home Appliance Division's VP, joins Fedders Corp. as president of Fedders Appliances, with overall responsibility for operations in North America… Bill Johnson, business development VP of KnowledgeLINKS, joins Premiere Home Theater Surroundings as marketing VP…Alan Lofft, editor-in-chief of Sound & Vision (Canada) magazine, joins Axiom Audio as general advisor and contributor to its R&D operation… John Todd has been named executive VP and chief operating officer and David Sugishita has been appointed chief operating officer of SONICblue…Ted Franceschi, ex-Toshiba America Electronic Components' senior VP/business development, joins SRS Labs as executive VP of sales… Michael Kelly, key account manager with VAC Service, named sales VP and will continue to report to Vince Romano, senior sales VP ... James E. Meyer, ex-Thomson Multimedia executive, named to the board of OpenGlobe ... Don Legato, global sales VP for Nuwave Technologies, has left the firm to pursue other interests.
CEA promoted three to help lead International CES. Dan Cole, interim president of CES sales, has been named CES sales and business development VP. Donna Deutsch, director of CES sales operations, has been promoted to CES show director. And Jayne Dalton, promotion opportunities staff director, is now CES exhibitor services staff director. Cole and Deutsch report to Karen Chupka, events & conferences VP, while Dalton reports to Cole….Vidikron of America has several changes. Greg Rizzo, ex-Dynatek Audio/Video & Home Cinema general manager, was named sales and marketing VP. David Wolff, former sales director at AirDesk, joins as sales & service general manager. And Jim Losee, former graphic artist and web site designer for Sound City, a N.J.-based retailer, joins as graphics design and electronic media services manager.
