Steve Caldero, Yamaha Electronics' sales VP, a 19-year veteran of the company, joins Southern California retailer Ken Crane's as sales VP... John Garrison, executive VP/sales and marketing for Samsung Consumer Electronics, has left the company to explore “new opportunities,” according to a company spokesperson. Jung Soo Shin, who was promoted to president/GM of the unit after International CES (TWICE, Jan. 24, p. 6), takes on Garrison's responsibilities... Ralf Engelbrecht, former sales VP for Clarion, joins Directed Electronics as national sales manager... Reuben E. Slone, former global supply chain VP for Whirlpool, joins OfficeMax as supply chain executive VP... Todd Bradley, palmOne's CEO, has resigned, effective at the end of the quarter with Bradley remaining as an advisor for palmOne through May. Company president Ed Colligan will act as interim CEO until a replacement for Bradley is found, said the company, adding that Colligan is a candidate for the permanent CEO position... Kyle McSlarrow, U.S. Deputy Secretary of Energy and a former top aide to key members of the U.S. Senate, has been named president/CEO of the National Cable and Telecommunications Association (NCTA), effective March 1. He will replace outgoing NCTA president/CEO Robert Sachs... Jeffrey Housenbold, former business development VP at eBay, has been named president and CEO of the online photo service Shutterfly... Joe Dentamaro, sales VP of Code Systems, which is a subsidiary of Audiovox Corp., has been named to MERA's Manufacturer Advisory Council.
