Samsung To Bow Printers At CES

By Doug Olenick -- TWICE, 12/17/2001

Samsung Electronics will introduce two new laser printers next month at the International Consumer Electronics Show.

The ML-1410 and ML-1450 are targeted at the home and small office market. They feature 15 page-per-minute print speeds with 1200dpi resolution and are powered by a 66Mhz processor.

The ML-1410 is more a home-oriented device. It has 4MB of onboard memory, a 270-sheet universal cassette tray and a 100-sheet multipurpose tray that can handle a variety of paper sizes.

The ML-1450 is a more flexible unit intended for use in larger offices. It comes standard with 16MB of memory, but this can be expanded to 80MB. The printer has a 550-sheet universal paper tray and 100-sheet multipurpose paper tray. It uses the Printer Command Language to handle detailed printing jobs.
