Westinghouse Adds Monitors, Frames

LAS VEGAS — Westinghouse Digital is introducing five LCD PC monitors and a quartet of digital photo frames at International CES, South Hall 1, booth 21707.
The LCD monitors range from 24-inches wide to a 19-inch 4:3 screen. And with the new announcements, the company will have digital photo frames ranging from 5.7 inches to 10.2 inches.
The top-of-the line monitor, L2410NM (available this month, $699 suggested retail), offers 1,080p quality, 6.5ms response time and 1,000:1 contrast ratio. It includes Westinghouse's AllGlass design that incorporates a minimal bezel, HD-Grade HDTV glass and DayBright panel technology for daytime or nighttime viewing.
The LCM-22w3 22-inch wide monitor has DVI-HDCP inputs, built-in speakers, 1,680 by 1,050 resolution and 5ms response time (available March, $449). The new L2046NV 20.1-inch LCD monitor has 1,400 by 1,050 resolution, 5ms response time and wide 170/160-degree viewing angles (available March, $349).
The L1975NW 19-inch wide LCD monitor (available March, $299) has a 16:10 aspect ratio, 1,440 by 900 resolution and 5ms response time. The L1928NV 19-inch LCD monitor (available March, $319) also has 5ms response time, 1,280 by 1,024 resolution and dual PC inputs.
Westinghouse Digital's line also includes digital photo frames. The sizes include 10.2-inch, 8-inch, 7-inch and 5.7-inch models. All are moving to high-resolution digital panels, expanded memory and the company's patent-pending MosaicView technology (in the 10.2-inch, 8-inch and 7-inch frames). All offer individual slideshow or picture viewing, a variety of transitions for slideshows, variable speeds for slideshows and support for AVI Motion JPEG, MPEG-1 and MPEG-4 players. The units auto detect and display multiple picture orientation and offer random picture shuffle, lets users set their favorite picture and have save and delete functions.
The 10.2-inch model, available in the second quarter ($229.99), has 800 by 480 resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio, 128MB built-in memory, can save files from memory card to picture frame directly and has four memory card slots (SD/MMC, Compact Flash or MicroDrive and xD-Picture Card).
The 8-inch model, available in the second quarter ($179.99), has 800 by 600 resolution, 4:3 aspect ratio, 128MB built-in memory, has four memory card slots and two USB ports. The 7-inch frame, available in the second quarter ($149.99 suggested retail) has 800 by 480 resolution, a 16:9 aspect ratio, 16MB built-in memory three playback modes, four card slots and a pair of USB ports. The 5.7-inch model, available in the second quarter, ($119.99) has a 4:3 aspect ratio and 16MB built-in memory; it supports CF Types I & II, MS, SD/MMC and xD. It has one USB port.
