Best Buy Tops In Mobile Market

For the first time, TWICE has ranked the top car A/V retailers based on sales to consumers. The TWICE Top 25 Mobile Electronics Retailers has Best Buy at the top of the list, followed by Circuit City, Wal-Mart, Audio Express and Car Toys.

The Top 25 report has been launched in one of the toughest years in car audio history, with sales declining 7 percent in dollar shipments to dealers, according to CEA. And sales for car CD players — the industry's bread and butter — fell for the first time in over a decade.

One of the stores to watch in mobile electronics this year is Wal-Mart, as the retail giant continues to beef up its presence in car A/V and as it becomes an aggressive player in the plug-and-play satellite radio market..
