SED Runs Pirate Snowman Promo

Atlanta — SED International is running a promotional contest in conjunction with the recent release of its winter 2008/2009 product catalog. The promotion encourages customers to find a "pirate snowman" that has been hidden in the catalog. When the customer finds the snowman, they'll have until Dec. 31 to register at www.sedonline.com/rewards for the chance to win 1,000 SED Rewards Points, which can be used to make purchases at more than 180 merchants.

Electrograph Offers Signage Webinars

Hauppauge, N. Y. — Electrograph Systems offered its first of a series of free educational Webinars focused primarily on the digital signage market on Nov. 20. The webinars can be accessed at www.electrograph.com/online_events.asp; the company has four more sessions planned between now and Dec. 16.

DSI Partners With Chief And Sanus

Edmonds, Okla. — Petra Industries is now carrying the Audio-Technica brand; the products were introduced in Petra's fall catalog.

Capitol Sales Adds Home Automation

St. Paul, Minn. — Capitol Sales is now offering products from Home Automation.

In other news, Capitol Sales recently announced plans to bring its CEDIA training courses to dealers in six regions throughout the country. The Capitol Sales Learning Institute-Regional Outreach program will run from April through November 2009 and will visit Seattle, San Francisco, Dallas, Philadelphi, Chicago and Tampa, Fla.

DBL Expands GPS Offerings

Scottsdale, Ariz. — DBL Distributing is carrying navigation and asset-tracking products from DelugoGPS and Blackbox GPS.

Almo Mails Catalog Featuring Top Sellers

Philadelphia — Almo recently mailed its 2008 holiday catalog. According to the company, it features a list of products Almo anticipates will be top selllers in the fourth quarter based on "consumer demand, maufacturer foresight and analyst predictions."

In other news, Almo recently signed an agreement to distribute Sherwood America's A/V line in the United States.

D&H Raises Money For Charity, Goes Green

Harrisburg, Pa. — D&H Distributing said its D&H Cares Foundation, in which its employees select and organize donation activities on behalf of various aid organizations each quarter, collected and paid $15,000 to the American Cancer Society in the program's inaugural quarter. Shriners Children's Hospital will benefit in the next quarter, ending in January.

D&H also recently implemented a "Go Green" initiative which consists of multiple efforts to make its operations more environmentally friendly.
