Chief Offers Automated Mounting Solutions Trio

By Staff -- TWICE, 3/13/2006

A new line of automated mounting solutions for swing-arm mounts, flat-panel and projector lifts and tables stands — called the Cinematic Series — is available from Chief Manufacturing. The mounts combine “top-quality construction” with motorized remote operation, said the company.

Cinematic Mounts offer programmable viewing angles and fast, fine-tuned viewing adjustments, said Chief. The CM1 automated swing-arm mount responds to the press of a button, with the screen extending from the wall and rotating to the desired angle, all without having to leave the couch, said the company.

Designed for flat-panel TVs up to 61 inches and 170 pounds, the CM1 features three programmable preset viewing positions and multiple mounting options on or recessed between 16-inch center studs. The mount extends 16 inches from the wall and swivels +/- 60 degrees. Suggested retail is $1,799.

The CM2 automated pop-up lift raises or lowers a flat-panel screen with the press of a button. Designed for sets 61 inches and over, and up to 200 pounds, the mount provides fast adjustments at over 2 inches per second.

The lift gives up to 44.5 inches of travel, with a stored height of 34 inches. Customizable store-and-show positions allow fine-tuning for any installation, and the lift design eliminates flat-panel TV width constraints, said Chief. Suggested retail is $2,999.

The CM3 automated swivel table stand provides +/- 45 degrees automated swivel with optional stops at 15 degrees, 25 degrees and 35 degrees. It has an integrated IR sensor for simplified installation and provides height adjustment of 5 inches to all for different screen heights. The freestanding base has bolt-down capability for permanent installation or increased security. Suggested retail is $1,299.

All three swing-arm mounts are shipping in May.
