Speck Unveils iPod, Mac Cases

By Lisa Johnston -- TWICE, 5/21/2007

Speck announced two new cases recently: a leather case for an iPod, and what the company is hailing as the industry's first hard-shell case for the 17-inch MacBook Pro.

The TechStyle Classic leather case is designed to be form fitting and features a matching holster with a swivel belt clip. It is available in black and brown, has a plaid interior and fits 30GB, 60GB and 80GB video iPods. Available at a $34.95 suggested retail, the case is currently available.

The SeeThru hard-shell case for the MacBook and MacBook Pro are constructed of polycarbonate plastic and come in red, blue, orange, pink, green, black and clear — color options vary depending upon model. They are available for the 13-, 15-, and 17-inch MacBook Pro and feature a snap-on design and access to all drives and ports. All three sizes have a $49.95 suggested retail and are currently available.
