Netflix Added To Select TiVo Models

Los Gatos, Calif. — Netflix said Thursday that TiVo has agreed to add the Netflix Web streaming service to broadband-connected TiVo DVR products including the TiVo Series 3, TiVo HD and HD XL models.

Netflix said it will provide TiVo subscribers who also subscribe to its online DVD rental service with the ability to stream movies and TV episodes from Netflix's “Watch Instantly” service to TVs free of charge.

Netflix recently announced similar agreements with LG and Samsung to stream content through select Blu-ray Disc players. It also provides the service through a standalone box marketed by Roku and has announced plans to offer the capability to Xbox 360 users.
