TWICE Announces 2008 Excellence In Retailing Winners

TWICE is pleased to announce the winners of its fifth annual Excellence in Retailing Awards.
The awards program was established to honor best-of-breed merchants in consumer electronics and major appliance retailing.
The winners were selected in each of five categories based on channel of distribution and business model. Those classifications are:
• Best National Retailer – Best Buy
• Best A/V Specialty Dealer – Audio Advice
• Best CE/Appliance Dealer - hhgregg
• Best Consumer Direct Dealer – Huppins/OneCall
• Best Vendor Retailer – Apple Store
The selections were made by the editors of TWICE based on the following criteria:
• Merchandising excellence
• Store design
• Customer service
• Market share
• Industry contributions
• Retail innovation
• Performance during the 12-month period ending Sept. 30, 2008
While the field of worthy candidates was formidable, the final decisions went to those merchants who embody the best in consumer electronics and major appliances retailing. Congratulations to this year’s winners. — The Editors
