Torrence, Calif. — Sears will pick up models in General Imaging’s line of GE-branded digital cameras, the first major retail distribution deal inked by the market newcomer.

The models will be carried in both Sears and Kmart stores starting Memorial Day. Sears will carry the $129 A730 and be the exclusive reseller of the A830 ($149) in white and G1 in navy. Kmart will carry the A730 and A830 in blue.

General Imaging’s camera line up was announced at the PMA. Since then, the company teamed with the Home Shopping Network and D&H Distributing.
