Jasco Debuts Cornucopia Of Accessories Products

Las Vegas — Jasco Products has come to the 2006 International CES with a cornucopia of GE-branded accessories, ranging from listening devices to security cameras.
The Oklahoma City-based Jasco is introducing three listening products — two headsets and a headphone.
The foldable four-in-one headset, model 98975, is said to be an industry-first, offering a headset that doubles as headphones and comes packaged with a detachable microphone. The headset allows retailers to combine product SKUs for PC headsets, headphone and microphone into one SKU, which Jasco said creates better space efficiency on a planogram.
The unit, at a suggested $24.99 retail, offers optional adapter for use on most mobile phones, detachable microphone and stand, and superior audio and bass response.
The shoulder-rest hands-free headset, model 26679, offers a microphone and control buttons that rest on a user's shoulders as a neckpiece for what the company calls “one of the most comfortable headsets in the industry.”
The unit, which has a suggested $16.99 retail, offers easy-to-access volume and mute buttons that allow finger-touch control. The hands-free headset can be used for cordless phone or mobile applications.
Model 98995 BassShaker noise-canceling headphone combines active noise canceling with amplified woofers in each ear for a superior listening experience, said Jasco. The company says no other product on the market today combines noise canceling technology and BassShaker technology together in one product. BassShaker works by moving the driver at a very low frequency, which gently shakes and vibrates the ear cups on the headphone, creating a virtual 2.1 listening experience.
At a suggested $79.99 retail, the headphone offers detachable microphone, padded headband and is foldable.
A PC camera with a flat-panel design, Jasco's model 98665, can be used with desktops or on the go. It has a “high-quality” 1.3-megapixel video with synchronized audio for Web chats. The cylindrical camera pops up via the three circular panels and is said to be an alternative to the sphere-shaped design common on the market today. Suggested retail is $79.99.
The wireless SolarCam, model 45208, is a security camera that uses solar panels that collect sunlight and convert this to an electrical charge that powers the camera and stores to a battery. The SolarCam mounts outside and sends images to the receiver inside. Video from the receiver can be recorded on a DVD, VCR or computer hard drive. Video also can be monitored on an HDTV, LCD, plasma or CRT television.
The Intellicorder, model 45227, is a door security camera that records video and stores it to a removable SD card for playback or storage on a computer. It utilizes a video screen for viewing and recording from inside that replaces the standard peephole. On the outside is a lens that mounts to a door. At a suggested $199.99 retail, users can view video that was recorded and can manage the information stored on the SD card.
The weatherproof camera transmits up to 150 feet and is night-vision capable. A backup battery works where no solar activity is available. At a suggested $299.99 retail, the unit can be operated continuously or is motion activated. It requires no technical knowledge for ease of installation.
Jasco's portable 2.1 digital speaker system, model 98904, provides a portable speaker that provides digital surround sound through a subwoofer and two portable satellites that come with retractable cables, magnetic enclosure and travel case.
Power is provided via a USB connection that eliminates the need for bulky A/V power adapters. A 3D audio conversion is included, which produces lifelike sound reproduction regardless of the satellite speaker placement, said Jasco. At $79.99 suggested retail, bundled software has access to manipulate sound output with present music settings, 3D sound, 5.1 and 7.1. Model 98905 allows for a docking station with battery usage, AC power and headphones output.
VolP multimedia keyboard, model 98605, is a computer keyboard with VoIP capability, convenient access to a high-speed USB 2.0 port, multimedia ports for music or Internet chats and flat keys for soft and quiet feel.
At a suggested $29.99, the keyboard is designed for consumers in an increasingly interconnected world of digital media and online audio communications, said the company. It is said to be the first computer keyboard on the market to offer hot key software to control digital music with iTunes directly from a keyboard.
Jasco's Find It universal remote control is a six-device unit that comes equipped with the Find It feature that communicates to separate Lost Item Locator units that a user can hook up to keys, purse or cellphone. Model 24945 is said to be the first remote to integrate the paging technology Find It.
